Jeff the dog was put down recently and Ted left us last year. Jeff had been ill for some time and was pretty old for a dog (17). We ‘saved’ Jeff from being put down when he was a puppy. The woman we saved him from bred dogs for showing and as Jeff was born deaf and miscoloured, he would never have made the grade as a show dog. He was taught basic sign language and didn’t really suffer too much from being deaf as he shared his life with another dog who acted as his ears.
If they have the internet in dog heaven, they learn the required motor skills to use a mouse and learn to read English then hopefully they will stumble across this (you never know). We will always remember you and the joy you brought to our lives.
